Christina Hall reportedly initiated her split from Josh Hall, leaving him blindsided
After a disagreement, the “Flip or Flop” alum, 41, stopped communicating with her estranged husband, according to a report from TMZ on Friday.
The HGTV personality only spoke to Josh, 43, through an attorney, prompting him to hire a lawyer as well.
Christina Hall recently broke her silence on the divorce, calling her estranged husband Josh an “insecure man.” She also accused him of transferring $35,000 of her money into his account. Despite these allegations, Josh has denied any wrongdoing, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Christina’s ex is reportedly living in Nashville, focusing on working out and attending church. “He knew there were ups and downs in their marriage but never expected it to end this way,” a source claimed. “Josh was seriously committed to Christina … as his social, professional, and romantic lives all revolved around her.”
Page Six has reached out to Christina’s representative for comment.
Josh and Christina announced their engagement in September 2021 and tied the knot the following month. They went public with their wedding in April 2022. Josh appeared on Christina’s shows “Christina on the Coast” and “Christina in the Country,” and was set to co-star in “The Flip Off” with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae Young.
Josh filed for divorce on July 15, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing July 8 as their separation date.
Christina, who was previously married to Ant Anstead, claimed in court documents that she communicated to Josh on July 7 that she would be filing for dissolution. She addressed the split on Instagram Thursday, opting to share her side of the story directly with her followers rather than through a PR representative.
The reality star, who is the mother of daughter Taylor and sons Brayden and Hudson, described Josh as an “insecure man” with a “large ego” attempting to “derail” her.
