Sam Asghari Reacts to Britney Spears’ Prenup and Exploitation Claims Amid Divorce
In the latest release of her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me,’ the 41-year-old songstress delves into her past relationships, putting one particular ex-lover in a rather positive light. The book has been in circulation for a few days now, and it has prompted a reaction from her ex, Sam Asghari, the only one to emerge unscathed from her candid revelations.
In a video clip obtained by ET, a filmmaker approaches 29-year-old Sam Asghari on the streets of Los Angeles. The direct question pertains to his feelings after being referred to as “a divine blessing” by his estranged spouse in her memoir. His response is both charming and supportive, stating, “It brought a smile to my face. Frankly, it did. I take immense pride in her, and I genuinely wish for her to conquer the world.”
This sentiment contrasts with the reactions of others, notably Justin Timberlake. Following his portrayal in the memoir, he recently opted to disable comments on his Instagram posts. This step was taken after Spears unveiled a series of shocking revelations about the former *NSYNC singer, including a claim of an unplanned pregnancy and a subsequent abortion due to his unpreparedness for fatherhood.
The fact that Asghari emerges unscathed from the pages of the memoir shouldn’t come as a surprise. Firstly, reports of Spears’ memoir being in the works surfaced as early as April. It wasn’t until August that the couple of seven years, married for one, parted ways, with Asghari initiating the divorce proceedings on August 16, as exclusively reported by ET.
Furthermore, there were indications that Asghari would not be portrayed negatively in the memoir. After the separation, he made it abundantly clear that he was not apprehensive about the content concerning him. He had, in fact, read the memoir even before its release on October 24. When a TMZ photographer inquired a week before the release if he was concerned about what the 41-year-old pop icon might reveal, Asghari confidently replied, “No, I’ve already perused it. I hold her accomplishments in high esteem. She exerted substantial effort, and it was an arduous endeavor. I am undoubtedly enthusiastic and exceptionally proud of her. It was quite an arduous journey, but I will be the first in line to procure it.”
Asghari’s continued support during their ongoing divorce should also come as no surprise. In August, an insider revealed to ET that Asghari was “ecstatic” about the upcoming release.
